We have all heard the BS about not having a NFL season next year. We have all seen the polls posted asking what the average American would do without having life dominated on Sunday and Monday nights by some NFL action. Being a huge NFL and NCAA football fan, I personally would be pretty pissed. I think the NCAA would dominate the football scene obviously, but come early October, the US should start showing some serious love for the NHL. I don't understand why Americans don't give the NHL more attention. Where else do you get to see abnormally sized dudes brawl out on a daily basis? Where else can you see some freak dive face first, knowing he's going to shatter most of his face, to try and block a rubber pancake that probably won't reach the net anyway? The NHL has some crazy shit to offer and the majority of America couldn't tell you a thing about hockey. I mean, check this video out from a Devil legend, Scott Stevens. The guy murdered people and finished careers. I know it's been a while since he's been around, but just watching this should make the average male act the same way he would when he sees a Chuck Liddell knockout.
I hope to god that the NFL stops bitching about how to split 9 billion dollars in revenue and reaches an agreement. If not, I expect every Rutgers game to be sold out and the Devils to actually sell a game out or two.
